Jordy Reid is coming off a career high 10 appearances for the Melbourne Rebels in the 2015 Super Rugby season, as the exciting young back rower re-committed to the club until at least the end of 2017.
A fan favourite, the dreadlocked Reid has recorded 22 games for the Rebels since making his debut in the final minutes against the Waratahs in 2013.
With a fearless attack of the ball and relentless tackling ability among the highlights of his game, Reid continues to develop his reputation as one of the Rebels’ promising core of players.
Reid’s similarities to former Wallaby George Smith extend beyond just the signature dreadlocks and Manly upbringing with the flanker modeling his game on the international veteran’s.
Reid has also played regularly for the Melbourne Unicorns in the Direct Connect Dewar Shield over the past two campaigns, after switching from Harlequin where he played a key role in the 2013 premiership.
